  • What's available on stock?

On Elitfönster's stock you find our most popular models produced and available for delivery. Stock range includes Elit Original Alu, Elit Original Trä and MF Duo. In addition to the common sizes of slide-hung, side-hung and fixed windows, you will also find window doors and round and half round decorative windows (non-opening). All stock products are painted white and will be delivered to you a few days after ordering.

  • What are non-standard items?

In addition to the stock range  an additional large number of models, module sizes and colours in Elitfönster standard exist. We will manufacture these   quickly after your order (a complete guide to our standard sizes can be downloaded here). Notification of delivery dates given by the retailer at the time of ordering.

  • What's most important to know about warranties?

Warranty will be applicable to a product and issued by those selling the product. For a window that is purchased from a retailer other conditions may apply than if it is bought by example through a house factory as part of a house purchase. In a warranty issue you should contact the retailer who sold you the product.

  • Why does condensation occur on the outside?

During periods of high humidity and large temperature differences between night and day, there is a risk that external condensation and in some cases, ice crystals are  formed on the well-insulated windows, with limited visibility as a result. The window insulation is so effective that almost no room heat escape through the window. The window's outer surface can then be colder than the outside air and condensation occurs. It disappears in the morning hours when the glass is subsequently heated.

  • How can I stop external condensation?

The risk of external condensation is reduced if the glass is shielded against the sky, for example by trees or shrubs or awnings. If the window by the assembly is placed as far into the façade as possible, this also reduces the risk of condensation. Self-cleaning glass also prevents outside condensation.

  • Why does condensation occur on the inside?

Internal condensation usually occurs because the room air is prevented from circulating next to the window. A dense curtain arrangement, or a window sill mounted close to the wall can be the cause.

  • Can I get special sizes?

Elitfönster can also be manufactured in special sizes down to 10 mm intervals (quoted always). Some limitations exist, however, because of weights and more. Notification of delivery dates is given by the retailer at the time of ordering.

  • Why is there condensation?
Misting, or condensation, is a natural phenomenon. When moist air meets a cold surface, such as a window glass, it's cooled off and the humidity is deposited as water droplets on the surface, so called condensation.
  • How do I measure?

If possible, remove the moulding around the old window and measure the hole in the wall (or make the most accurate estimate possible). Then choose a size that fits.

  • What is a module measure?

The window size is written in width / height and is expressed in modules (abbreviated M), for example, M 10/13. A module is equal to 1 dm. It may be helpful to know that the module sizes for the windows always include a minimum space for the seal on both width and height (20 mm for the triple-glasses Elit Objekt, 15 mm for MF Duo, Tradition 1+1 and Tradition 2+1). For example Elit Complete in size 10/13 has thus in fact, width 980 mm and height 1280 mm.

  • How much do I save?
You can calculate your energy savings with the help of Elitfönster's Energy Calculator.
  • What does U-value mean?

U-value indicates a window's insulating ability. The lower the U value, the better the insulation. To be fair, the U-value listed in the product information apply to the entire window structure, including the sash and frame (not only for the glass). Read more technical information about U-value of the Energimyndigheten's information on the energy window: www.energifonster.nu
